Clouds that help prevent condensation
When I was younger, I could spend hours lying in the grass, pointing out every cat, dog and unicorn I’d see in the clouds. These days, with two little kids running around, “lying in the grass for hours” is not the reality I’m living in. But I still love staring out the window from my desk on a puffy “Simpsons sky” day, and finding all the shapes.
There’s something peaceful about clouds. I like, love getting lost in thought staring at them. It’s almost meditative really.
So obvs… I needed to make cozies.
Inspired by a Childhood Favorite
If these clouds look a little familiar, you’re probably thinking of the iconic blue wallpaper from Toy Story. Or like I mentioned earlier, a “Simpsons Sky” I grew up watching The Simpsons in the 90’s and I have always loved a puffy cloud day, it always reminded me of the evenings watching an episode of The Simpsons with my family. Later of course, it also reminds me of the wallpaper in Andy’s room in Toy Story. While creating these cozies, my son, who is 5, said on more than one occasion, “Mom, that looks like Toy Story” so I was doing something right!
The pattern is rooted in nostalgia, and maybe heavily influenced in a “cloud 9” like daydream of life in the 90s. So, why not be reminded of that in something I (and you!) could use everyday! It’s kind of tough here in America for SO MANY reasons, so let’s just close our eyes and pretend – if even for a moment – that we’re back in the 90’s, on a lovely 78 degree day, laying in the grass looking at the clouds, then later on that evening we’re eating pizza on the floor, watching The Simpsons and their (always to me) hilarious opening couch scene.

Meet the Cloud Cozy Collection
This bundle includes four patterns so you can keep your favorite drinks cozy no matter what you’re sipping:
-Standard Can Cozy
-Coffee Sleeve Cozy
-Tall Skinny Can Cozy
-40 oz Tumbler Sweater Cozy
I really felt drawn to make several types of cozies, and I haven’t had that feeling for a while, but I’m really loving my sweater on my emotional support tumbler. I’ve also recently gotten into the skinny energy drinks like Celcius, Alani etc and my OG can cozy wasn’t quite the right fit. And as far as needing the Coffee sleeve? Coffee is life y’all.

And babes. I have great news. You can get the OG Can Cozy for free! It knits up quickly, and makes a really great gift. Download the PDF by clicking the download button.
If you love it (and want to make matching cozies for all your favorite cups), you can grab the complete Cloud Cozy Bundle for just $6. Find it here!
You know what else I love about these patterns? They’re really easy to make, they’re quick to make, and because they are small they are so easy to keep in your purse, so you can always have that knitting project on the go. And we all know you have a larger than necessary purse so you can carry a knitting project or two. It’s like the number one requirement for me when making or buying a purse is that it’ll be large enough for a knitting project!
Have fun knitting and please consider following over on instagram for more pattern release updates and basically all things lovely and whimsical!
XOXO
